Job Title: Community and Events Manager 
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Location: Santa Barbara, CA

We believe in building and supporting our community: runners and dreamers from all walks of life, and from around the globe. We all have our own reasons for running, but the one thing we share is our collective love for the sport. At rabbit, our goal is to continue to build a community for all runners, with a focus on inclusivity. Whether connecting at in-person events or sharing our experiences via social media, we have the power to uplift, connect with, and inspire others. As such, our Community and Events Manager will be responsible for all aspects of building the rabbit community – from producing key brand events to managing our various running communities, particularly our RADrabbits and our rabbitELITE Team.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

EVENTS

  • Drive brand awareness, meet financial targets, and increase rabbit’s community footprint at brand events, which number from 5-8 per year. The focus here is not necessarily which events or how many, but more importantly on how we show up. 
  • Establish a repeatable brand event template that can be executed flawlessly each time.
  • Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of rabbit events – from marathon expos to trail races to industry shows – in various locations around the US, creating experiences that are memorable and representative of the brand.
  • Build relationships with event organizers and attendees (potential consumers), ensuring the target audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. 
  • Use a before, during, and after Omni-Channel Approach to meet financial targets from each event rabbit attends.
  • Act as rabbit’s key point of contact for any race, event, or team sponsorships, coordinating with other internal rabbit resources as needed.
  • Brief Marketing and outside contractors for all event collateral and necessary equipment.
  • Create and disseminate after-event reports.
  • Work within the assigned budget.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to create a specific template for retail marketing events.

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

  • Manage our RADrabbit group of runners, which in 2024-25 will number over 1,000. Specific responsibilities include:
    • Define each year’s program, from the number of runners to the schedule, membership kit makeup, other perks, and more.
    • Execute the creation of each year’s team.
    • Manage all methods of communication: monthly emails, quarterly calls, Facebook and Strava Groups, customer service.
    • Perform financial analysis: postmortem of each year as well as projections for future years.
    • In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, set and achieve financial targets.
    • Brief marketing team for all necessary assets.
    • Create and report monthly status of RADs.
    • Manage our rabbitELITE Teams. Responsible for executing a new vision for this program in 2025 as we look to optimize our programming.
      • Execute the final plan for the Elite team.
      • Be the point of contact for Elite team members, agents, and representatives.
      • Work within the assigned budget.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role – event planning, brand activations, community management, sports and athlete management, or similar.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated success in event activation and project management with a focus on operational excellence.
    • Dedicated, adaptable, and solution-oriented; able to think and act on the fly when necessary and handle high-stress situations.
    • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. 
    • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organization skills, proficient at managing multiple projects and responsibilities – on time and within budget.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, adept at engaging effectively with peers, partners, event directors, and athletes.
    • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
    • Strong reporting skills and experience defining program requirements and using metrics to determine improvements.
    • Knowledge or experience in the Running, Fitness, and/or Sports industries preferred.
    • Position is based on Santa Barbara, CA.
    • Travel will be necessary for this role.

      SALARY AND BENEFITS

      • Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

        Job Title: Supply Chain Planning and Reporting Manager

        Reports to: Director of Operations

        Location: Santa Barbara, CA

        The Role:

        As the Supply Chain Planning and Reporting Manager, you'll be responsible for leveraging data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring optimal product availability and operational efficiency. Your insights will drive our product assortment optimization, enhance productivity, bolster purchasing strategies, and ultimately deliver exceptional service to our customers. We're seeking a visionary leader who can revolutionize how we plan and execute information within our rapidly growing supply chain.

        Key Responsibilities:

            • Conduct thorough analysis of historical data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate volume and velocity forecasts for optimal operational performance.
            • Utilize metrics to support product, wholesale, and marketing initiatives, and manage inventory buy planning for in-season and carryover styles.
            • Develop and execute monthly inventory reporting and sizing analytics, as well as bi-monthly inventory insights for both at once and in-season periods.
            • Maintain and distribute WIP and finished goods production plans across the organization.
            • Lead data analysis collection efforts and establish reporting dashboard SOP within Cin7 for various departments.
            • Collaborate with Wholesale and Direct-to-Consumer Directors on in-season and post-season inventory movements and metrics.
            • Provide company-wide reporting aligned with organizational objectives and present KPI reporting at monthly supply review meetings.
            • Lead the development of seasonal recap/review reporting metrics and present findings to relevant cross-functional teams.
            • Drive improvements in our systems tech stack, whether by optimizing existing technologies or implementing plans for new enhancements.

        Qualifications:

            • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in analytical roles focused on merchandise planning or inventory management.
            • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Statistics, or a related field.
            • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups, pivot tables, logic formulas, and basic macros.
            • Demonstrated ability to leverage data effectively to inform decisions and articulate business requirements.
            • Previous exposure to planning and business intelligence tools such as Shopify, Microsoft D365, Microstrategy, Power BI, etc.
            • Proven track record of meeting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and remaining composed in high-pressure situations.
            • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
            • Deep understanding of merchandise in alignment with company strategies.
            • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with peers and merchants.
            • Proficient in presenting complex information and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
            • Strong computer literacy, with exposure to relevant planning, finance, analytical, and data management systems.

        Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
